The new canopy extension at The Good Drop brewery offers an ideal refuge from both the scorching sun and unexpected rain showers, providing patrons with a comforting beverage in hand. This innovative addition embraces a timeless aesthetic, blending the charm of the past with modern sensibilities.
PTL’s profound timber design proficiency shines through in this project, showcasing their mastery of traditional mortise and tenon techniques alongside the elegant use of wooden dowels. These craftsmanship details elevate the canopy’s structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
Furthermore, the design incorporates fly bracing, meticulously engineered to withstand the forces of wind and even earthquake events, ensuring the safety and stability of the canopy. The choice of generously sized, naturally durable timber components adds to the overall character of the space, creating a truly distinctive and inviting environment for all to relish.
