Senior Structural Engineer – Queenstown

PTL are looking for a senior structural engineer to join our dynamic team of structural engineers and fire engineers. The role will be based in Queenstown as a satellite to our Christchurch and Auckland offices.

THE ROLE
The successful candidate will initially be PTL’s only Queenstown-based engineer, supporting a strong portfolio of active Queenstown projects. Working closely with our Christchurch and Auckland offices, the role offers the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of PTL’s Queenstown presence, with a view to build and mentor a small local team of structural and fire engineers.

The successful candidate will:
– Have an internationally recognised tertiary degree in structural engineering
– Have at least 5 years’ NZ based experience
– Be a chartered structural engineer or be on track to gain chartership
– Have a strong track record of leading the design and monitoring of construction projects
– Have a love of learning and sharing knowledge
– Be focused on people and relationships
– Be passionate about the opportunity to grow others, motivated by a leadership role, with the ability to own the
delivery of high quality client outcomes.
